Adar Gandelsman

Adar Gandelsman (Hebrew Adr gndlsmn) is an Israeli beauty pageant titleholder as well as a model. She was Miss Israel's 2017 runner up and was named Miss Universe Israel. Adar took part in the Miss Universe 2017 pageant in Las Vegas, but did not finish in the top tier. The pageant was a success, and Gandelsman took a selfie with Sarah Idan, Miss Universe Iraq that year. Idan and her family emigrated from Iraq in 2017 because of protests by Iraqi citizens. Gandelsman took a picture with Miss Israel. Gandelsman is an Israeli citizen from Ashkelon, Israel. Her parents were Ashkenazi Jews. They came to Israel in 1992 from Brazil. Her initial name, Adar, is a Hebrew calendar month.
